Cathinones

Substituted cathinones are derivatives of cathinone. They include stimulants and entactogens. These have a phenethylamine center with an alkyl-attached alpha carbon and a beta carbon ketone group, as well as additional substitutions. Cathinone is naturally found in plant khat, whose leaves can be chewed for recreational use.
